Governor DeSantis signs Trenton Train Depot ownership transfer bill

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (WCJB) – Gov. DeSantis signed 17 bills on Monday, including one impacting the ownership of the Trenton Train Depot.
The bill aims to transfer state-owned property to the City of Trenton for public use. The house bill will assess if the Trenton Train Depot should be considered historically significant and order public have access to the building.
City staff already maintain and rent out the historic depot.
Rep. Chad Johnson (22) filed the bill to provide a clear solution to the long-standing uncertainty over ownership of the property, he said.
