Gov. De Santis in Idaho to promote constitutional amendment to balance federal budget

FloridaGov.RonDeSantisvisitedBoiseThursdaytopushforaproposedamendmenttotheU.S.constitutionthatwouldmandatebalancingthefederalbudget. SpeakingattheIdahoCapitol,DeSantissaidtheamendmentcouldbedonethroughaConstitutionalConventionofStates,whichhasneverbeencalledbefore. “You’renotgoingtoseethisturnaroundunlessyouhavesomeconstitutionalconstraintsontheabilityofCongresstodriveusdeeperintodebtandeffectivelytoendupbankruptingthecountry,”hesaid.
